The Penn State Mont Alto communications team leads in the creation and publication of information to the digital signs that are installed in high traffic and key locations around campus.
The format of digital signage information is designed to be helpful to everyone in our audience: students, visitors, faculty, and staff. Each sign consistently displays the campus mark, date, time, office hours for different campus departments, weather, upcoming events, and a scrolling Penn State news ticker.
While we do the posting and maintenance of the content on the signs, we encourage everyone to contribute! If you're interested in being an occasional or regular contributor, please contact Staci Grimes to get started. Remember, the simpler the slide is, the better. Digital signage is for reminders, the essentials in visual cues - if you need to share a good deal of text, then email is a better method for sharing. Our audience will be walking by when they see it and will need to absorb the message in about 3-4 seconds.
