Penn State Mont Alto honored students and faculty members achieving academic, leadership and teaching excellence during the annual Academic and Leadership Awards Ceremony in the Multipurpose Activities Center on April 30.
The Penn State Mont Alto Academic Festival is a way for students to display academic and artistic highlights that were researched, developed and created throughout the 2022-23 academic year. Students presented exhibits, posters and interactive displays of their work.
Penn State Mont Alto held its annual Day of Service/Every Day is Arbor Day event on Wednesday, April 12. More than 100 faculty, staff and students gathered bags of leaves/debris, picked up downed branches, raked mulch, pulled weeds and ivy, and planted a variety of trees and flowers.
On April 15, the Penn State Mont Alto Woodsmen Team took first at the Mid-Atlantic Intercollegiate Spring Woodsmen’s Meet in Cumberland, Maryland. This annual competition is the culmination of the season each academic year.
The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing at Penn State has been awarded a $2 million grant by the Bedford Falls Foundation, resulting in the creation of more than 30 scholarship awards each totaling $40,000.

Users from any of the county’s public libraries may use their existing library card to borrow books from the Penn State Mont Alto Campus Library and request items from other University Libraries locations.

Barr, associate professor of clinical nursing at Ohio State University’s College of Nursing, will be the speaker at the Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing's 2023 joint Jean Vallance Lecture in Nursing Innovation/WE LEAD Inspirational Leader Speaker Series on Friday, March 31, at the Wyndham Garden State College. The lecture will be offered in-person as well as via webinar.
