Penn State students from all majors and all campuses are invited to dive into the vibrant culture of India during a two-credit course in fall 2018 and a 10-day trip over winter break.
The Mont Alto LaunchBox, a business incubator funded by a seed grant from Penn State’s Invent Penn State initiative, will begin to provide free assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs in downtown Chambersburg in January 2018. The incubator is located at 40 North Second St. in downtown Chambersburg.
On Feb. 15, Penn State Mont Alto will offer the American Mathematical Competitions (AMC) in the auditorium of the General Studies building beginning at 9 a.m. Students are encouraged to arrive at 8:45 a.m. The test concludes at 10:30 a.m. and for those who are interested, tours of the campus will be made available.
Stand for State will host an event, “All That WE ARE,” at Penn State campuses between Jan. 15 and 30. Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate.
Comedian Jay Black will appear at Penn State Mont Alto at 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 18, in the General Studies Auditorium. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
As part of Team IMPACT, Preston Harris, 13, who lives with a condition known as Duchenne muscular dystrophy, officially joined the Penn State Mont Alto men's basketball team during a special signing event on Jan. 11. He will attend practices, games, team dinners and events.
“Building Bridges,” a touring photo-text exhibit by Family Diversity Projects will be on display at the Penn State Mont Alto Library, second floor, during the month of February. An opening reception will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Feb. 1.
