Sixteen faculty members representing various campuses, colleges, and General Education areas at Penn State, have been named General Education Faculty Fellows. The General Education Faculty Fellows Program is a new initiative of the recently created Office for General Education.
Penn State Mont Alto's Student Appreciation Night on Nov. 29 included a tailgate with food and drinks, pep rally, and fun photo booth. Following the tailgate the campus community attended the women's and men's basketball competitions where pizza and giveaways were provided.
Applications for the Penn State Secondary Mathematics Noyce Scholarship Program must be submitted by Jan. 18, 2017. The competitive renewable scholarships will provide $19,000 per year for eligible students’ last two years of college.
Penn State Mont Alto has been named a top 10 gold-level Military Friendly School in the category of “public schools with less than 10,000 students.” Designated by Victory Media, the award places Penn State Mont Alto in the “best of the best” category from among 1,200 post-secondary schools that were designated as Military Friendly in November.

Penn State Mont Alto forestry student Ryan Karroll of Smithsburg, Md., received a Davey Foundation Arbor Grant Award on Dec. 14. In 2016, the Davey Tree Expert Company awarded fifty $1,000 merit-based scholarships to the best and brightest students in the green industry across the United States.
