Join us for Prospective Student-Athlete Day 2024

November 2, 2024 // 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Penn State Mont Alto invites high school students and their families to attend Prospective Student-Athlete Day on November 2, 2024, an informative event where interested students can learn about becoming a part of the rich tradition of great academics and having the opportunity to compete at the college level.

The day’s agenda will include a meet and greet with coaches, sessions on the admissions process and what it looks like to be a student-athlete at Penn State Mont Alto, as well as a panel discussion featuring current student-athletes who will share their experiences and be available to answer questions. Additionally, Karley Coleman, a 2020 dual major graduate of the Occupational Therapy Assistant and Psychology programs, and member of the women’s basketball team from 2015-2019, will be the keynote speaker for the event.

Prospective students and their guests will also engage in a tour of our beautiful campus, then have lunch, allowing for networking with faculty, staff, and other guests. The day will culminate with an opportunity to watch our men’s basketball team compete.

Penn State Mont Alto offers nine intercollegiate sports that compete in the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC).

  • Varsity sports: Men's baseball, basketball, golf, and soccer; women's basketball, golf, soccer, softball, and volleyball.
  • Club sports: Cheerleading
  • Intramural sports: Various intramural sports.

In the past decade, Penn State Mont Alto Athletics have won 12 PSUAC conference championships and three United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) national championships.

Penn State has more than 275 majors to choose from, and nearly all of them can be stared here at Penn State Mont Alto.  Our unique 2+2 program allows students to complete their first two years here and finish their degree at Penn State University Park or another Penn State campus.  Students who want to stay here all four years can choose to major in one of our nine baccalaureate programs.  Penn State Mont Alto also offers seven associate degree programs that can be completed here in two years.

With 700 students on our campus, it's easy for students and faculty to get to know each other.  Our students enjoy a small, close-knit campus community with all the resources and advantages Penn State University has to offer, right at their fingertips.
