Penn State Berks, one of seven founding members of the Commonwealth Arboreta Network, boasts a rich variety of trees, thanks to its location on the former Janssen family estate. Approximately 30 acres have been designated as the Center for Agriculture and a Sustainable Environment, serving as a hub for a four-acre plant collection geared towards teaching.

Silas Chamberlin reviews materials for Outdoor Economy, a business idea that has become a reality and a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization thanks in part to the Idea TestLab. Chamberlin won the top prize in the 2023 competition and took advantage of the resources provided through the business accelerator. Applications are now being accepted for the 2024 Idea TestLab.
