Spring 2021 Race, Equity, and Action Series

Earlier this year, Penn State Mont Alto announced its spring 2021 Race, Equity, and Action series -- a campus reading program and speakers series designed to challenge our students and campus community to confront our unconscious biases and equip our students, faculty, and staff with the vocabulary we need to step out of our comfort zones and engage in uncomfortable conversations about race and equity.

The series consists of six seminar-style discussions with students, faculty, and staff, leading up to a keynote in April from Ijeoma Oluo, author of So You Want to Talk About Race.

The community is invited to join our discussion by watching the recorded campus discussions; Oluo's campus visit, which will be held via Zoom, will be free and open to the public. Look for more information accessing the talk later this spring.

This series is grant-funded by Barnes & Noble Education.
