MONT ALTO, Pa. — Penn State Mont Alto is hosting admissions events for prospective students, regional veterans, and prospective student-athletes in October and November.

Penn State Day

Penn State Day at Penn State Mont Alto, the campus’ biggest open house event of the year, will be held between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 8. Open to high school students at all levels and their families, Penn State Day gives guests an opportunity to tour campus, meet with faculty to learn about the eight bachelor’s and four associate degree programs offered at the Mont Alto campus and attend an information session that covers Penn State's admissions, the application process and student aid. Please register online to attend.

Veterans’ Social and Information Session

In November, the campus will host a Veteran’s Social and Information Session from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 5. More of a social gathering than an open house, this event is designed for veterans considering using their G.I. Bill benefits to start or complete a degree. Attendees will meet and talk with current veteran students at the Mont Alto campus, tour the campus, learn about academic programs, and talk about student-support services including veterans services, campus health, and wellness, advising, academic support, counseling, and student aid. The day is open to all veterans and their families. Online registration is required to attend.

Prospective Student-Athlete Day

Penn State Mont Alto’s annual Prospective Student-Athlete Day is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12. In addition to an admissions information session, campus tour, and time with faculty, attendees will meet members of the campus' coaching staff and current student-athletes to learn what it’s like to be a Penn State athlete at the Mont Alto campus. Students are invited to stay for the men’s basketball game following the event at 3 p.m. when the Nittany Lions take on Bryant and Stratton College-Rochester.

This event is open to prospective student-athletes and their families only, and online registration is required.
