Faculty members, dressed in their academic regalia, participate in the annual Founders Convocation
Founders Convocation celebrates the beginning of the academic careers of those attending Penn State Mont Alto for the first time. It is a right of passage for all new students as you officially begin your voyage as a Penn State student.
Students will experience the pageantry of academic regalia as the full faculty participate in the ceremony to welcome the incoming class. The 40-minute celebration begins with a welcome address from Chancellor Francis K. Achampong, Ph.D. The Student Government Association president provides greetings on behalf of the SGA executive board and an award-winning faculty member will provide the keynote address. Finally, Michael Doncheski, Ph.D., director of Academic Affairs, announces the opening of the new academic year.
Founders Convocation and Commencement are the two bookends of your university career at Penn State Mont Alto.
