Penn State Mont Alto nursing students joined three area nursing programs for “Community Simulation Day” — a mass casualty scenario where, with help from local community emergency response crews, students practiced assessing and treating “victims” of a mock shooting.
The Nittany Lion Shrine basks in the early morning sunlight on a crisp, autumn day. The shrine, cut from a 13-ton block of limestone by Heinz Warneke and Joseph Garatti, was dedicated in October of 1942 and celebrated it's 77th birthday Oct. 24.
Take the plunge ‘For the Kids!’ On Dec. 8, the Franklin County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association and Mont Alto Alumni Society will host its second annual Polar Plunge in support of the Penn State Mont Alto THON group. It starts at noon at the Cowans Gap Lake Beach area, 6235 Aughwick Road, Ft. Loudon, Pa.
