CURRENT PENN STATE STUDENTS (CHANGE OF MAJORS/CHANGE OF CAMPUS) AND STUDENTS SEEKING RE-ENROLLMENT
Consideration for change of major or change of campus or re-enrollment for admission to the physical therapist assistant program at Penn State Mont Alto is based on the following criteria:
-
Penn State cumulative GPA of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher.
-
Students who have completed Biology 161 and Biology 162, or equivalent, with grades of āCā or better will be given preference over those who do not have an academic record of biological science coursework. Credits in biology courses (Anatomy and Physiology I and II) must have been earned within five years prior to acceptance into the PTA program. If courses were completed more than five years prior to acceptance, the student may be accepted but will need to repeat the anatomy and physiology coursework.
Achievement of the minimum criteria does not guarantee admission into the PTA program. Admission to the program is competitive, and applications received by November 30 will be given priority consideration. Requests received after November 30 will be reviewed on a space-available basis. Consideration will be given to students with strong academic performance in science courses.
How to Apply
- Follow instructions online for re-enrollment.
- The campus Registrar will notify you of the decision regarding your request.
