Penn State Mont Alto announces fall admission events

Students and their families interested in attending Penn State Mont Alto are invited to the following fall admission events on the Mont Alto campus. Registration for these Admission Office events is available online at or call 717-749-6130.

Fall Open House — 9 a.m. on Oct. 17, Multipurpose Activities Center. An Academic Fair with faculty members representing Penn State Mont Alto’s associate and baccalaureate degree programs, a student panel session, campus tours led by current students, and lunch.

Information Sessions — 10 a.m. on Sept. 25, Oct. 23, and Nov. 20. Learn more about what Penn State has to offer. These programs include a tour of the Penn State Mont Alto campus and an information session. Admissions staff members are also available to answer questions regarding admission to Penn State.

Visitations and Campus Tours — Campus tours are conducted several times a week during the academic year. Students and their families can also meet with admissions counselors to discuss degree programs and learn about the application process.

At Penn State Mont Alto, students can choose from among
six baccalaureate programs or seven associate programs or start the first two years of coursework from among 160 Penn State majors and transfer to another Penn State campus to complete their studies.

Penn State Mont Alto offers bachelor’s degrees in
Business; Health Policy Administration; Human Development and Family Studies; Information Sciences and Technology; Letters, Arts, and Sciences; and Nursing.

Important dates to note include, Sept. 1, when Penn State’s application becomes available online and Nov. 30, the recommended deadline to submit an application for fall 2016. In addition, all students are required to complete the 2016
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (known as the FAFSA) which becomes available online, Jan. 1, 2016.
