2 + 2, Engineering

Earn an Engineering Degree from Penn State and start right here at Mont Alto.

The Penn State Mont Alto campus supports a wide variety of baccalaureate engineering degrees in the Penn State system through the 2+2 system. Engineering students begin their studies at the Mont Alto campus (usually spending two years at Mont Alto), and then transfer to another campus to finish their degree (usually at University Park or Harrisburg where they will spend another two years). This system offers the best of both worlds, giving students access to smaller class sizes with teaching-focused faculty for their introductory courses, and a large diversity of course offerings for their more advanced studies with faculty who are on the cutting edge of their fields. Contact our campus adviser for more information on these programs.

Jacob Moore is our campus adviser for these degree options and can tell you more about the courses you may plan to take while here.

The College of Engineering

The engineering lab serves as a space where students can design, build, and test prototypes for both class and personal projects.

Professional Licensure and Certification Compliance

Many US states and territories require professional licensure/certification to be employed. If you plan to pursue employment in a licensed profession after completing this program, please visit the Professional Licensure/Certification Disclosures by State interactive map.
