Penn State Mont Alto theater students performed two original, educational puppet shows about saving the rain forest at the invitation of First Lady of Pennsylvania Frances Wolf, during the annual Earth Day Celebration at the governor’s residence on April 22.
The Penn State Mont Alto Chorale will host its fifth annual Choral Festival on May 4 in the Multipurpose Activities Center during a grand evening of choral musical performances. The Chorale will be joined by five other local schools, totaling about 185 student voices.
Julia Loftus, a sophomore at Penn State, donates her time by helping to sort through food and stock shelves at The Lion’s Pantry. The Lion's Pantry welcomes donations of nonperishable foods, financial gifts, and time from volunteers throughout the Penn State community.
Penn State Mont Alto student Courtney Stump recently received the Pennsylvania Associate of Colleges and Employers JoAnne Day Student of the Year Award in the associate degree category. The award was given for her exemplary work performance as a physical therapist assistant intern at Chambersburg’s Innovative Rehab Associates during summer 2018. Stump is the first Mont Alto student to receive this honor.

With a $2 million estate gift, Liberal Arts alumnus Geoffrey Morton (1982) is creating a scholarship for students of military families in the College of the Liberal Arts as well as campus beautification endowments for Penn State's Mont Alto and University Park campuses.
