Last year’s inaugural STEM Camp at Penn State Mont Alto was an overwhelming success, but camp organizers wanted to take it to the next level. After polling last year’s students, camp was expanded to offer activities and field trips beyond the college campus. Thirty rising ninth and 10th graders from a dozen Pennsylvania school districts participated in the week-long day camp, which began July 10.
Over the last several months, the Student Engagement Network has made significant progress in advancing the University’s strategic priority focusing on transforming education through student engagement.
The Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) Academic Leadership Program has gained four additional Fellows from the Penn State ranks. The BTAA is the academic consortium of the Big Ten universities. Through its leadership program, participants who have demonstrated exceptional ability and administrative promise are aided in further developing their leadership and managerial skills.
Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences recognized the recipient of the Outstanding Senior Award, as well as Outstanding Students in golf course turfgrass management, forest technology and wildlife technology for the 2016-17 academic year.
