The second Penn State Mont Alto Colloquy Series talk of the fall semester will be presented by Lecturer in Economics Mazhar Awan on Oct. 9. Titled “Is this Economy too Good to be True? What Economics has to Say About our Current State.” It is open to the public and free of charge.
On Oct. 31, Penn State Mont Alto’s Student Nursing Association of Pennsylvania (SNAP) will host a safe alternative for trick-or-treaters with a Trunk-or-Treat on the campus. The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the campus commuter parking lot. Local families are invited to participate.
Abel Castro, Douglas C. Harmon, James Junkin, and Timothy L. Mussmon are new members of the Penn State Mont Alto Advisory Board for the 2019-20 academic year. Comprised of alumni, friends and corporate leaders, the Penn State Mont Alto Advisory Board is a key link between the campus and its surrounding communities.
Slated to break ground next June, Penn State Mont Alto's new Allied Health Building will provide an additional 22,000 square feet of instructional and office space to the campus. Occupancy is expected during the 2021-22 academic year.
A new award named after Penn State Mont Alto's longtime Director of Athletics Robert "Marty" Ogle will be presented annually to two current student-athletes, one male and one female, who have distinguished themselves throughout their Penn State Mont Alto careers in the areas of academic achievement, athletic prowess and leadership.
