John Bell exhibit at Penn State Mont Alto Library

The Nicodemus Center for Ceramic Studies is exhibiting several John Bell reproductions from its Bell Commemorative and Annual Bell Family reproduction series throughout the 2016 fall term on the second floor of the Penn State Mont Alto Library. Members of the community are welcome to view the display from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Business and Industry Expo at Penn State Mont Alto

The Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce will host the Chambersburg Business and Industry Expo at Penn State Mont Alto on Oct. 20, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Multipurpose Activities Center (MAC) on the University’s campus. The tailgate-themed event will feature 30 businesses, showcasing their products and services, tail-gate-themed food, music by Island Fusion, prizes and giveaways, as well as a visit by the Penn State Nittany Lion. Tickets are $7 (students $5) and are available online at www.chambersburg.org/events or at the door. Businesses are welcome to participate and the public is encouraged to attend.

Evening Talk and Star Party at Penn State Mont Alto

Penn State Mont Alto will host a new “Evening Talk and Star Party” series during fall 2016. Each event will begin at 7:30 p.m. with an instructor sharing his or her expertise in the General Studies Auditorium with light refreshments. Weather permitting, a star party, led by Penn State Mont Alto Assistant Professor of Physics and Astronomy Kim Herrmann, will follow in the field behind the Multipurpose Activities Center.

Thulin exhibits work at Penn State Mont

The art of Geoffrey Thulin is on exhibit through mid-December at the Penn State Mont Alto Library, second floor. Members of the community are welcome to view the show 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 4 to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The exhibit includes watercolor and mixed media paintings.

Town hall meeting at Mont Alto campus

State Rep. Paul Schemel will host a town hall meeting at Penn State Mont Alto during which Nicholas Pyeatt, Penn State Altoona associate professor of political science, will speak on the topic of the United States Electoral College and presidential elections. The public is encouraged to attend the free event, which will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 in the General Studies Auditorium
